The sequel to the action film Escape from New York, the film follows war hero Snake Plissken, played by Kurt Russell. A. is a little bit goofy, but that's the intended effect. I can't think of a more gangster way to follow up a film that haters say is cheap looking and dumb (Escape From New York) than to make a film that is even cheaper looking and even dumber. The film's campiness, though, would feel out of place in this year's Christopher Nolan-influenced, very-serious-blockbuster summer.
